Kick your summer off right by gathering the whole family and participating in SHARC Fest, a family triathlon and water safety expo. Each family supports and encourages each member as they conquire the 100 yard swim, 1.9 mile bike ride and a .5 mile run. This is a non-timed event. finish the race with a BBQ and a stroll around the FREE Water Safety Expo. Enjoy water safety activities, vendors and deomstrations teaching the imporatnce of having fun and staying safe in and around the water. Limited to 200 participants.
Course Information:
Swim-100 yards. Participants will swim the peimeter of the outside pool. The pool begins at 3.5 feet deep and goes to 10.5 feet deep.
Bike-1.9 miles. The bike route will be a fast and flat 2 loops of neighborhood streets. Participants will mount their bikes on Cedar and proceed west. Participants will make a U-turn when the road comes to an end, just past SE 5th. Participants will travel east and make a right turn on 7th ave and then a left onto Maple St. Participants will then make a left onto 9th Ave. 2 loops equal 1.9 miles.
Run-.5 miles. Participants will make 1 loop around SHUTE Park finishing in the park.
