The Sakatah Challenge - 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run and 11 mile ride are in the Sakatah State Park. This park is truly, one of Minnesota’s most beautiful parks. Join us for a fun day whether you are doing the 5K, 10K, or 11 mile ride or challenging yourself with the run and bike ride.
The 5k is an out and back on the paved Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail through the beautiful Sakatah old growth forest.
The 10k and 11 mile bike ride follow the road around Lake Sakatah. Just before the 4th mile the 10k goes off road for a ¼ mile before connecting you with the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail and dive deep into the heart of the park finishing the last leg of your run surrounded by the beautiful green forest.
The bike ride follows the road through the forest along Lower Sakatah Lake for another mile before looping back and connecting with the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail. This is a great event for the whole family.
