Triathlon : Paddle 7 Miles, Run 3.1 Miles, Bike 11 Miles |
The 3rd Annual Harpeth Hustle Triathlon is taking place on October 1st, 2016.
This triathlon begins with a 7mi. Paddle (Canoe or Kayak), followed by a 5K run and ending with a 11 mi. Bike section on paved road.
This race is presented by Support-A-Park and has been created to raise awareness for and benefit the Harpeth River State Park.
The event begins with a 7 mile Paddle down the Harpeth River. Exiting the river you will run/walk a .5 mile trail section through the park to Narrows of the Harpeth Rd.. The remainder of the run will be on pavement running back to the start/finish on Cedar Hill Rd.. There your bikes will be waiting for you. You will then bike North on Cedar Hill Rd to Griffentown Rd. (5.5 miles) then turn back and head to the finish. The area consists of rolling hills, farms, cliff lined riverbanks and is surrounded by nature. There are some hills on this section and a good one at the Narrows however all contestants conquered it on their way to victory.

From Nashville
Head West on I-40 to McCrory Ln. exit 192 and turn right. Take until it dead ends into Hwy-70 and turn Left. Travel West 5 miles just past Tip-A-Canoe and Foggy Bottom Canoe and turn right on Cedar Hill Rd. Gossett Tract will be .5 miles on your left.
From Memphis
Head East on I-40 to the Kingston Springs exit 188 and turn left. Take until it dead ends into Kingston Springs Rd. and turn right. Follow until it dead ends into Hwy 70 and turn left. Travel another 2 miles just past Tip-A-Canoe and Foggy Bottom Canoe and turn right on Cedar Hill Rd. Gossett Tract will be .5 miles on your left.
From Clarksville
Couple of ways, you can drop down through Ashland City or backroads baby!
Support-A-Park is creating events at Parks for Parks. This race is to raise awareness for and benefit the Harpeth River State Park.
The HRSP averaged just over $423 annually in donations over 3 years. The 1st Harpeth Hustle was able to generate over $800 for the park! Last year we created over $1,700 for the park in just one day!
