2015 Newman Freedom Festival 5K & Biathlon:
• The 2015 race will be a great event with chip timing, awards, free food, and some nice prizes to be given away.
• Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Health Care for Homeless Veterans, (HCHV) program serving Central Illinois and Western Indiana.
Course Information:
Run Course:
• 5K out and back on city streets and rural country roads.
• Very flat.
Bike Course:
• 15 Mile out and back on rural, paved country roads.
• Very smooth and mostly straight roads.
Directions:
Newman is located on US route 36 in East Central Illinois.
• About 25 miles SE of Champaign.
• I57 to exit 212 at Tuscola, IL.
• Route 36 east 15 miles to Newman.
