For patients with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, and other life-threatening diseases, a cure exists.

We are a community of donors, volunteers, health care professionals and researchers who deliver cures by helping patients get the life-saving marrow or cord blood transplant they need. Our passion to save lives drives us to help more patients survive each year.

Be The Match raises funds to support three key areas:

1. Help patients overcome financial barriers to transplant.

We raise funds to help patients receive the life-saving transplant they need. Since insurance doesn’t cover all the costs that come with a transplant, many families are not able to afford treatment. But there is hope. And it comes from people like you.

2. Grow the registry to create more matches.

A transplant may be a patient’s only hope for a cure. But patients need donors who are a close match. While millions have joined the Be The Match Registry, many patients still can’t find a match, particularly those with diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. Your contributions add more potential donors to the registry so transplants can become a reality for all patients.

3. Fund life-saving research.

Be The Match has been saving lives for more than 30 years. Our dedicated research program leads cutting-edge studies to improve survival rates, use transplant for other rare diseases and combat post-transplant infections. Your gift funds clinical trials and observational studies to provide cures and improve quality of life.

Course Information:

• The 5K and 1K courses are in and around Atlantic Station - all on paved streets. While there are no vehicles allowed on our course during the race, we are on city streets and some lanes may still be open so be aware of potential vehicle traffic and stay well inside the coned lanes set aside for our race.

• There will be volunteer course marshals and Atlanta Police Officers all along the route to help direct you and to ensure your safety. Our route contains many twists and turns and does double back on itself, so please be courteous to other runners and walkers by staying to your right as much as possible, especially if you have children and strollers.
