2015 Osprey Sprint Triathlon:
• The 16th Annual Osprey Sprint Triathlon is a great fast race. 1/2 mile swim, 15 mile bike and a 3.1 mile flat out and back run. The Maryland Coastal Bays Program hosts this race every year as a fundraiser to protect the bays behind Ocean City, Maryland and Assateague Island. It is a fun race for everyone from beginners to advanced triathletes! There is also a relay option where athletes can join a team: one person swims, another bikes, and the third person runs.

The 1/2 mile swim will be held in the shallow (4 to 8 feet) Chincoteague Bay. Average water temperature is 68 degrees. Wetsuits are permitted. The swim is an in-water start with plenty of room to spread out and properly seed yourself.
The 15.2 mile bike route is a flat circular course; and the 3.1 mile run is flat out on the roads surrounding the rural countryside of southern Worcester County. The finish line will be at the Public Landing Boat Pavilion.
Directions:
To get to 8303 Public Landing Road in Snow Hill Maryland take route 113 South from Ocean City or 113 North from Pocomoke until you reach 365/Public Landing Road. Go East on 365 for 5 miles, then turn left on Outten Road. Take a left on Public Landing Wharf Road and the parking area will be on your left. There will be volunteers directing traffic to the parking area.
