2015 Try-Simsbury River to Ridge Triathlon:
• The Try Simsbury: River to Ridge Try-athlon, will start with an ambitious 3.6 mile River to Ridge running/hiking segment, from the banks of Farmington River up some challenging new trails that enter Penwood Forest, gain about 400 feet in elevation, and provide lovely views from the ridge of the valley below.
• The next segment will be a 11.5 mile bicycling course, comprised of two loops on country roads and a short segment on the Farmington Valley Greenway.
• In lieu of swimming, the final component of the race is an approximately two-mile loop on the Farmington River paddling upstream first and then back, thereby crossing twice under Simsburys landmark Flower Bridge.a great place for spectators!

- Trail Running - This adventure race, Try Simsbury: River to Ridge Try-athlon, will start with an ambitious 3.6 mile River to Ridge running/hiking segment, from the banks of Farmington River up some challenging new trails that enter Penwood Forest, gain about 400 feet in elevation, and provide lovely views from the ridge of the valley below.
- Road Bicycling -The next segment will be a 11.5 mile bicycling course, comprised of two loops on country roads and a short segment on the Farmington Valley Greenway.
- Kayaking - In lieu of swimming, the final component of the race is an approximately two-mile loop on the Farmington River paddling upstream first and then back, thereby crossing twice under Simsburys landmark Flower Bridge.a great place for spectators!
- The Final Dash - A brief sprint to the finish line at Simsburys Performing Arts Center will wrap up the race in approximately 2-2.5 hours for most racers.

Registration will be at the Performing Arts Center, Iron Horse Boulevard in Simsbury. Take Route 10 to Simsbury, turn east onto Drake Hill Rd and take your first left onto Iron Horse Boulevard. The Performing Arts Center is about ½ mile down on the right. Kayaks and bikes may be dropped off on Riverside Rd after registration. To get to Riverside Rd return to Drake Hill Rd and go over the bridge. Turn left onto Riverside.
Parking is available in the commuter lots along Iron Horse Boulevard. Brief parking while registering or picking up a race packet is available behind the Performing arts Center.
