Course Information:
Swim Start:
The swim will take place in an indoor, 25 yard pool. The swim will be a time trial start, one child at a time in approximately 3 second intervals. Kids will swim up one lane and upon reaching the end of the lane, move over to the next lane and swim down (flip turns allowed). This will be similar to zig-zag or switch-back formation. The Intermediate Division will start at approximately 10:30 am (or when the last Senior has completed the bike course). The Junior Division will start at approximately 12:00 am (or when the last Intermediate has completed the bike course).
Swim Course and Water Safety:
Wetsuits are NOT allowed. We will have a large team of Lifeguards and Water Safety Marshalls that will be surrounding the pool.
Bike Course:
The bike course will be on roads closed to motor traffic. Each division will be on the same course, with loops of the course for the Senior and Intermediate Divisions. We will have volunteers and signs directing participants, however please make sure your child knows what division he/she is in, as we will be referring to the course based on division (Junior, Intermediate, Senior). Mile markers (large signs) will be along the course. Triathlon style bike frames and disk wheels are not allowed in USAT Sanctioned Youth Events.
Run Course:
The run course will be on paved walkway. Please make sure your child knows what division he/she is in, as we will be referring to division to help direct participants along the course.
