Panther Creek State Park will once again play host to one of East Tennessee's longest running off-road triathlons. This race is part of the Southeast Region.

Located 35 miles Northeast from downtown Knoxville, in Morristown TN, Panther Creek and Cherokee Lake provide an incredible and scenic backdrop for some serious off road fun.

The course is challenging enough for a seasoned athlete yet gentle enough for the beginner as it winds it's way around one of the most beautiful state parks. A two lap swim and bike ride make this a very spectator friendly race.

Swim - .5 Miles (2 laps)

The swim will be held from the namesake Panther Creek. Swimmers will navigate a, two lap, clockwise course before exiting for transition. The paved boat ramp will provide athletes with a safe and quick exit from the water. Volunteers will be on hand to help exiting swimmers if needed. A shoe drop will be available for athletes for the, short, paved run up to transition. ,

Bike - 15.0 miles (2 laps)

The bike course starts from the paved parking lot at the Panther Creek Boat Ramp and immediately heads to the single track trails of Panther Creek State Park. The single track trails vary in difficulty as they make their way around the park. Riders will cross the entrance road twice on each lap providing spectators the chance to cheer on athletes. There are plenty of opportunities for faster riders to over take slower riders as some of the main trails are wide enough to fit side by side with another cyclist. The bike course has its challenges, but it is a very good course for first time participants.

Run - 4.5 miles

The run course follows closely to the bike course for the first stretch before breaking off and exploring the other side of the park. Most of the run course resembles that of a cross country course. The most technical part of the run happens near the half way point after a wooden bridge crossing, but then gives way to open fields and rolling hills.
