Welcome to the Truckee Open Water Swim. Held in Donner Lake a beautiful clean and clear Alpine lake in Truckee CA.
The Town of Truckee is a great and unique mountain town with many fun and rewarding experiences for you.
Plan to stay for the weekend and give the Donner Lake Triathlon a TRI as it happens the concurrently.
Course Information:
Course
All courses start just off the beach. You’ll stand shin deep looking due east across the 3 miles of Donner Lake. Large buoys mark your route.
- 1/2 mile course is two left turns and back to the finish
- 1.2 mile course is two left turns and back to the finish
- 2.4 mile course is two left turns and back to the finish
Bring your friends and family as the course are easily viewed from the shore.

Wetsuits
Wetsuits are allowed. The water temperature will be in the high 60’s or low 70’s. Non wetsuit and wetsuit division are scored separately.
