The TriZona at Sahuarita is a USA Triathlon sanctioned, full Olympic Distance triathlon, taking place in and around Sahuarita Lake Park. This .9 mile swim, 25 mile bike, and 6.2 mile run will certainly be a beautiful and challenging early season triathlon. 5430 Sports, one of

America

’s leading triathlon and multisport event producers will be directing this inaugural event. The swim takes place in beautiful Sahuarita Lake (temperature at a comfortable 67-69 degrees), followed by a fast bike ride, though participants will be tested by a steady 7-8 miles of climbing midway in the ride with a fast downhill to the final transition. The final 10K run is mostly flat and very scenic along the car-free Wilderness Trail.
