The 2015 Lost Trail Half Marathon & 5K + Kids 5-Mile Duathlon:

• The Lost Trail Half Marathon and 5K Trail Runs will feature beautiful courses along the shoreline of Folsom Lake covered in the colorful wildflowers of spring, plus a custom tech tee race-shirt, Lost Trail Finisher Medal, hot post race food, and awards three deep in each division along with raffle prizes.
• There will be a Kids 5-mile Duathlon starting after the Lost Trail Half Marathon and 5K events.

Course Information:


Lost Trail Half Marathon starts at Granite Beach along the shore of Folsom Lake. The course heads south toward Beals Point past the Activity Center and along a paved section.. The first aid station is just past mile one and that’s when the course follows the Pioneer Express Trail between Granite Bay and Beals Point. The course follows the lake and then makes a loop near Dyke 4 and returns past the horse stables and Cavitt Stallman Middle School at the end off the loop. The course will head up to the top of Mooney Ridge on the return to Granite Bay. The course passes Granite Bay and heads north to the upper middle trail which winds its way through beautiful oak and pine forests on its way to Beeks Bight and Doton’s Point. After running around Doton’s Point and crossing Doton’s Bay the course follows the lower middle trail before finishing back at Granite Beach.

The Lost Trail 5k starts along the shore of Granite Beach on Folsom Lake. The course heads south for 1k and then heads north to Oak Point before returning to the finish at Granite Beach.

Directions:

Granite Bay State Park on Folsom lake is located at the end of Douglas Blvd, 5-6 miles East of I-80. Turn right at the third stop sign after entering the park for the Granite Beach parking lot. There is a $12 vehicle charge for day-use or $125 for an annual pass.
