PHAST stands for Promoting Health And Service Triathlon. It is a triathlon with a twist, and that twist is for the better. Our motto is Run. BIke. Swim. Serve. Participants complete all the traditional events of a triathlon, running, biking, and swimming, but the focus of this event is to give back; back to your health and back to your community. This is why before the race begins as part of your registration to the race each participant will complete small, quick, but very significant acts of service. For example. Participants could assemble back to school packets for children, or perhaps gratitude packets to be shipped over seas to our armed forces, or God forbid that there is a tragedy in the community whether ours or the worlds, our service would be geared to what ever could help out the most, perhaps towards even single family in need.
Course Information:
The PHAST is a Sprint Triathlon.
As part of the race, every competitor will complete a service project that will be set up for them to participate in before the race starts. It will be short but meaningful.
Distances are: Run: 3.2 miles, Bike: 12 miles, Swim: 500 yards(20 laps done in pool)
Directions:
Take Lake Mead Drive northwest to Burkholder Blvd. Drive 1.7 miles southwest on Burkholder to Racetrack Rd. Turn right. Turn right again to Heritage Park Senior Facility.
