2014 Runwell 4 Life 5K Trail Run:
• The Eco-Adventure Center at the University of North Florida will host the Runwell 4 Life Festival’s 5K Trail Run.
• Registration will not be available day of event.
• Children between the ages of 8 to 10 are free, however, registration is required.
• Entry Fee includes your Runner’s Bib, Individual Time Chip, Event Parking, and finisher T-shirt.
Course Information:
• The 5K Trail Run will take you on adventure through the quiet and beautiful wetlands of Blueberry Trail, around Lake Oneida, through pine flat woods and deep swamp.
• It overlaps the Goldenrod Trail at times and traverses the gambit of UNF habitats; from Swamp to Sand Hill to Flatwoods.
• You will see beautiful goldenrod flowers that bloom in the fall and will also pass one of the Grandfather Cypress trees that live on campus.
• Also on the trail is an area that is home to a healthy Gopher Tortoise population. These land dwelling tortoises live over 60 years and provide underground homes to countless reptiles, amphibians and small mammals.
