A Zombie Run is a hybrid 5k race with family friendly obstacles along the way. Unlike other obstacle races, runners try to dodge and escape from zombies roaming the course trying to grab flags from runners' flagbelts, similar to flag football. Zombies are other runners, or event staff/volunteers placed around the obstacles. Zombies will not physically touch you other than to grab 1 of the 3 flags from your flagbelt. You can choose to run the race as a zombie or a survivor. Survivors are given a 2.5 minute head start from zombie runners. The object for the survivor is to outlast the zombies and continue to the end of the 5k race with at least one flag left in your flagbelt. Should all 3 flags be removed before your 5k race is completed, you simply complete the race ... as an infected person.
Course Information:
Deer Path Park is a beautiful rolling hill park in Hunterdon County. The course begins and ends on the main soccer fields but traverses into the fields and around the lake in the park. The obstacles are created for all family members to have fun with. There are no mud or physically challenging obstacles. This course is a fun family run or a challenging course for cross country runners.

PHYSICAL LOCATION: 120 WEST WOODSCHURCH ROAD, FLEMINGTON, NJ 08822
Location: Deer Path Park is located in Readington Township on West Woodschurch Road. The park is open from 8:00 AM to sunset.
Directions from the Flemington Area: Take Route 31 north about 4 miles from the Flemington Circle. Turn right onto West Woodschurch Road, following the signs for Deer Path Park and the YMCA. Proceed about 0.7 miles on West Woodschurch Road to the entrance to the park on the right. The YMCA's entrance is the immediate right off of the driveway. Continue pass the YMCA entrance. The parking lot for the fields will be visible on the left-hand side of the driveway. The main parking lot for the park is located at the end of the driveway near the rest rooms.
Directions from the Clinton Area: Take Route 31 south about 6.5 miles from Interstate 78. Use the jughandle for West Woodschurch Road to cross over Route 31. Follow the signs for Deer Path Park and the YMCA. Then follow the corresponding directions above.
Other Info:
Pre Race events include the Daryl Dash which is a timed quick sprint while knocking off zombies. Best times win a prize. There will also be the Flemington ATA guiding pre run participants in the art of Taekwando. Kids will have fun in the craft center.
