In year 1 of existence The Simply Du Duathlon will make its mark as a premier event in Fairfield County. The event will fall at the perfect time of race season. October in the northeast is when most area Triathletes are winding down their competitive season but still have plenty of fitness left in the tank for one more effort!
The flat 5K run course is a perfect course to allow for a good warm-up and fast separation of racers. The out and back course winds through the picturesque neighborhood of Cos Cob, turning around along the shaded woods of Bible Street at the Montgomery Pinetum Park.
The challenging but fair bike course will encounter some of the best hills, descents, flats and beautiful roads Greenwich has to offer. Although the course is open to traffic, Greenwich Police will be providing course support and riders will have the right of way at all intersections and turns.
