2010 Black Bear Triathlon:

  • The Black Bear Triathlon is an excellent triathlon for the first timer and the veteran triathlete looking to compete college age students.
  • The swim is 600 yards, bike 13.5 miles and the run is a 5k.

    • Course Information:

  • The  swim will take place in  the College Competitive Pool.
  • Both the bike and the run courses have very few hills.
  • The run will finish on  the outdoor track in  the football stadium.

    • Directions:

  • Take the University of Maine Exit in Orono(Exit 193) off the Interstate.
  • Follow the signs to the University and enter the Campus at the main entrance next to the Alfond Ice Rink.
  • The swim and registration will take place in the Memorial Gym at the entrance to the swimming pool.
  • Memorial Gym is located 200 yards from the entrance to the campus.

  • Accepting only the first 72 registrants.
