2014 RaceVermont.com Sprint Triathlon I and Duathlon:
• We are pleased to offer a duathlon along with this year’s Sprint Triathlon. • Enjoy the beauty of Vermont as you swim (or run), bike and run to/from Shelburne Beach on Lake Champlain. • Both races begin and end at Shelburne Beach. • The lake is shallow for this swim and is monitored by race volunteers and lifeguards along the course. • Following is an out-and-back scenic bike ride and a run.
• Family and friends can cheer you on from Shelburne Beach where little ones can play at the playground. • Enjoy a BBQ or picnic afterward as there are grills and tables at the town beach.
• An additional $12 will be charged for non-USAT members. • Due to the sanctioning of this race, relay teams will not be allowed. • There is a limit of 200 racers for this race. • Also at this year’s race, all racers who are or will be at least 50 years of age as of December 31, 2014 are eligible to win awards from the Vermont Senior Games Association and become qualified to participate in the 2015 National Senior Olympics. • You may opt out of this if you would like to. • There is no additional senior games charges to participate in the VSGA awards or qualification.
