2010 Birchwood Triathlon:
- The race is help in a beautiful exurb of Philadelphia in the heart of the Pine Barrens.
- After the race there is a BBQ for the racers, friends and families.
- Rumor has it that a keg will show up for post race hydration. (That was a big hit last year.)
The vibe: remember the race you did in the 80's, laid back, fun and competitive.
Course Information:
Swim- 1/2 mile fresh water lake swim, out and back
Bike- 13 miles of back roads and neighborhoods, fast fast, the last 1 1/2 mile is down hill
Run- 5K through a neighborhood
- The bike and run courses are marshaled, but open to traffic.
- Parking is offsite about a half mile form the transition area.
Directions:
- The venue is off Rt 541 in Medford, NJ. About 22 miles from Center City Philadelphia and about 90 miles fro NYC and Baltimore.
- Easily accessable form the NJ Turnpike and Interstate 295.
