The Insane Terrain Race is fundraiser for the Elkin Valley Trails Association (EVTA), specifically for trail construction and maintenance between Elkin and Stone Mtn Park.The race course starts and finishes at the track behind the Elkin Rec Center utilizing a hilly road and newly constructed trails taking you by waterfalls and beautiful terrain following the Big Elkin Creek. No sherpas are needed and the leaves will look nice (if exertion blindness hasn't set in).
