The City by the Lake Triathlon welcomes triathletes from across the nation to the southern shores of Lake Michigan, just 50 miles from Chicago, in Michigan City IN.
The Michigan City Parks & Recreations Department is hosting the event, sanctioned by the USAT.
Come out and test your skills on a new and improved course along the scenic Lakeshore.

.75K Swim, 16.1K Bike, 3.9K Run:
The swim takes place on the southern shore of Lake Michigan at Washington Park Beach in waters that can be challenging to the swimmer, but warm with estimated normal seasonal temperatures in the low 70"s.
The bike course will provide athletes with beautiful views of Lake Michigan as it loops riders out of Washington Park onto Lakeshore drive through Long Beach to the Indiana/Michigan state line and back to Washington Park.
The run will take triathletes out of Washington Park, through Michigan City's historic downtown and then back to Washington Park.
Washington Park is located on Lake Michigan's southerm-most shore, Michigan City is less than a hour from Chicago, which is easily reached via South Shore Railroad, as well as I-94 and the Indiana Toll Road
