The course has been accurately measured around beautiful Lake Normandale.
Half Mile Kids Fun Run 10:00 AM start time
Once the 5K is complete, we will fire the gun for the kids run. The kids will make their way around the Lake Normandale Bandshell, through the trees, all on paved trail. Parents are welcome to run with their son or daughter. We suggest you allow your son or daughter to finish in front of you, otherwise it may be a long afternoon for you parents!
Walk up Registration & Packet Pick-up will be available from 12 PM - 6 PM on Friday at TC Running Eden Prairie. Race day packet pickup and registration will be available starting at 6:30 AM at the Lake Normandale Bandshell.
Q When is Financial Literacy Run & Walk & Kids Run?
A : The 5k run & walk will start at 9:00 a.m. July 12, 2014. The kids 1/2 mile will start at 10:00 a.m.
Q- Where will Financial Literacy Run & Walk & Kids Run take place?
A Both events will take place at the Lake Normandale Bandshell area in Bloomington, MN. 5901 West 84th Street Bloomington, MN 55431
Q How will I know my time?
A The 5K Run & Walk will be timed with results posted on our website www.soleMOTIONrace.com The Kids 1/2 mile will not be timed, as it is a fun run.
Q - What is included in my registration?
A Runners will receive a custom designed Financial Literacy Run & Walk Shirt T-shirt, and after race refreshments.
Q- When is packet pickup?
A - From 12 PM - 6 PM on Friday, July 11, 2014 at TC Running Eden Prairie - 6405 City West Pkwy B5 Eden Prairie, MN 55344 . You can also pickup your packet and register at Lake Normandale on the day of the race starting at 6:30 AM
Q - Who is the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation?
A - With a strong commitment to financial education, the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation is a is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization dedicated to providing the resources for credit unions and communities to prosper and thrive. In 2013, the Foundation launched its Financial Education Grant Program and an ongoing budgetary commitment to financial education. The Foundation dedicates 50 percent of its annual budget to fund financial education grants that positively impact credit union members and communities.
Q - What is the Financial Literacy 5K?
A - Proceeds from the Financial Literacy 5K will provide additional funding for the Foundations Financial Education Grant Program, which supports programs, projects or initiatives that positively impact credit union members and Minnesota communities.
Q - Who should participate?
A - Registration is open to: Credit union staff, volunteers & supporters Educators, school staff & administrators Non-profits, agencies & financial literacy enthusiasts Legislators, government officials & others holding elected office Members of the running community, walkers, and anyone who shares a passion for financial education!
Q - Are there any awards?
A - Yes, there will be gift cerficates for $25, $15 & $10 from TC Running Store awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners in all age categories for both men and women. Age categories are: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
