2010 Tom Hoskins Memorial NW YMCA Triathlon:

The event is being held in honor of Tom Hoskins, a longtime local cyclist who was hit and killed in Lancaster County during a charity bicycle ride in 2007.

Race organizers hope the event will raise awareness of bicycling safety in South Carolina.

Course Information:

Swim:

350-yard pool swim.

Bike:

15-mile bike course through the rolling hills of Irmo, SC.

Run:

3.1-mile out and back course that is largely shaded.

PROCEEDS:

Proceeds from the sprint triathlon will benefit the YMCA Partners with Youth Campaign. The campaign provides families and individuals of all ages with financial assistance to those in need of YMCA programs and fellowship.
