A full weekend of races. Distances from sprint to half. Triathlons - (sprint/olympic/half). Aquabike - (olympic/half). The sprint and olympic take place on Saturday. The half distance events will be held on Sunday.
Swim: All races start with the swim in Taylorsville Lake at the Possum Ridge Boat Ramp. The sprint will be a 1 loop open water swim in Taylorsville Lake. The olympic swim course will be two loops. The half on Sunday will also be a two loop course. USAT rules will be followed regarding the use of wetsuits. The average water temp in the past has been around 74 degrees.
Bike: All three bike courses start with a climb out of the transition area. The sprint and Olympic distances are rolling out and back courses. The half course is a loop around the lake going through the towns of Chaplin, Bloomfield, and Taylorsville. There are a couple of good climbs on the half course.
Run: The runs for all three races take place within Taylorsville Lake State Park. Saturdays races are both out and back. Sundays race will be three loops. With the exception of the climb from transition all of these courses are on small rolling hills.
