2010 Fort Benning Reverse Sprint Triathlon:

  • Reverse sprint triathlon - the only one in the state! Try something new!
  • Run and bike through beautiful Fort Benning. Run leg is first, then bike, then end with a pool swim.
  • Buffet during award ceremony.
  • Beautiful metals given out to 3 deep in each division.

  • Run is good flat run wiht a few small hills.
  • Bike has some rolling hills along the way.
  • Swim is a pool swim.
  • Course is very well marked with lots of volunteers to help along the way.

    • Directions:

    From Atlanta

  • Take I 85 south to 185 and follow into Fort Benning. 185 ends at the front gate.
  • You will need to stop at the visitors center and get a pass to get on post. You will just need to show your license, car registration, and car insurance.
  • They will give you a day pass onto post (whole process takes about 10 minutes).
  • Once through the gate, follow 185 to the traffic light (approx 2 miles).
  • Get into your right hand lane to merge right onto Dixie.
  • Follow Dixie for about 3 miles and when you past the gas station on your left begin looking for Edwards street on your right - it will be at a light.
  • Turn right onto Edwards then make a quick left onto Eckel and follow about a ¼ mile you will see signs to park.  2783 Eckel Street.
