2014 Rio Rancho Patriot Triathlon:

400 yard swim + 15 mile bike + 5 K run.
Only the pool is flat on this course!
 Experience the High Desert Mesa
  - we have to swim in a pool, there is no water here! :0)

Course Information:

400 yard seeded start serpentine style pool swim.  Fastest swimmer starts, followed by next fastest, etc, etc, (that is what makes it work and why submitting a swim time is required when registering).  Each participant swims up and back in each lane, then crossed under to the next lane, continuing down 8 of the 25 yard lanes to the exit.

15 mile out and back bike will challenge your climbing skills and also let you enjoy an unobstructed view of the spectacular Sandia Mountains.

3.1 mile run starts on an uphill, then it gets steeper, twice.  Then you get a mile of downhill in the middle, and finish on a gradual uphill incline.  It IS for beginners - but not for sissies!  :0)
