Course Information:


  • The 400 m swim is a beautiful out and back course at the base of the butte itself.
  • Athletes will transition up the historic winding ramp that has led lake goers to waters edge since the building of the EB Dam in 1912.
  • Cyclists will travel 12 miles across the EB Dam, thru Elephant Butte and descend into scenic TurtleBack Mountain Resort and climb 2 serious hills leading back to the Dam Site Recreation area.
  • The run meanders 3 miles around the Winding Roads Park area which offers stunning views of Elephant Butte Lake.
