Sunday, June 27th, Museum L-A invites you to the historic Camden Yarns Mill in the Simard-Payne Park in Lewiston, ME to experience this breathtaking course in the inaugural LADU. This 3-mile-run, 14-mile-bike and 3-mile run to the finish will race past historic millscapes, scenic paths and the mightiest river in Maine to benefit the restoration and preservation of over a century of work and community along with the revitilzation of the Camden Yarns Mill, future home of Museum L-A.

Tri-Maine is partnered with Museum L-A to kick off the inagaugral historic race. Chip-timed/ LADU is expected to be the largest Duathlon in Maine. Participation is capped at 500. Register today for discount on race registration.

This is the race that will go down in the 2010 race calendars as an amazing experience. Racer expo with lots of great prizes and race amenities.

Course Information:

  • One transition area in the Simard-Payne Park.
  • The 3 mile run will invite runners to race through the historic mill district of Lewiston, Maine. Safe and scenic this course promises breathtaking details. For the first time, lower Lisbon Street will be closed so that runners will run down the street without traffic worry. The run course will pass by beautiful canals, over historic bridges and will provide back stage tours of mills.
  • The 14 mile cycle course will follow the mighty Androscoggin River and will pass by scenic apple orchards, golf course and is designed for speed. Flat and fast with one challenging hill.
  • The final 3 mile run will use predominately the L-A River Walk and will provide for amazing views of the great falls. Awards ceremony at the Camden Yarns Mill in the Racer Expo.
  • Racer Expo open during the entire race for spectators.
  • Directions:

    1 Beech Street, Lewiston Maine is located off of Main Street in Lewiston, Maine. From Maine Street, take a right onto Lincoln Street. Parking is best had at the Lincoln Street Parking Garage or the Canal Street Parking Garage.

    Other Info:

    Racer ammenties include water, post race nutrition, massage, capstone photography and a full racer expo with lots of athlete and fan activities. Enjoy a day in the park post race!
