beautiful historic town of Felton. The town of Felton was laid out in 1856 when
the Delaware Railroad reached this area. Owing its existence to the railroad,
Felton was named in honor of Samuel M. Felton, President of the Philadelphia,
Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad and a major force in bringing railroad
service to central and southern Delaware. Incorporated on February 2, 1861,
Felton is located near the geographical center of Delaware. A marker lies just
east of town off route 12 marking the center point of the state.

Felton Community Fire Co Firemans Family Fund 2013 Beneficiary is the
family of Firefighter Harry Brown who lost his beloved wife Melissa Cobb Brown to Cancer. Melissa was a RN at
Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover De. Harry and Melissa have one small
child, a son, Phillip Brown.
