2013 Williamson County Parks and Recreation's Half Pint Triathlon:
Calling all aspiring triathletes, ages 8 to 12! You can swim, bike and run your way to the finish at the annual Half Pint Triathlon. Registration for the triathlon event begins July 15. Athletes will be divided into two age groups: Juniors, ages 8-9, and Seniors, ages 10-12 (age as of race day). Juniors will swim 50 meters in the pool, bike 1.5 miles and run 0.5 miles. Senior entrants will swim 100 meters, bike three miles and run one mile. Each child will receive an official triathlon medal and t-shirt. Children must be accompanied by parents, and all racers are required to wear appropriate swim wear in the pool and shoes while biking and running. Each child should bring a bicycle and a helmet to the event. Parents, bring your cameras for award-winning photo opportunities! Race is chip timed.
All legs of the race will be completed in and around the Franklin Recreation Complex and Judge Fulton Greer Park
