2010 marks the 2nd Annual Tri For The Kids Youth Triathlon in Rome, Georgia. The event is open to all kids ages 7 to 14. In addition to the 7 - 9 and 10 - 14 year-old categories, there is also a physically challenged category. These athletes will compete a distance appropriate for each. Finisher medals, t-shirts and goody bags for all participants! A limited number of scholarships are available. All proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Rome, GA.
Course Information:
The route will be limited to the Darlington Upper School campus and the area of Cave Spring Road between the school and Boys & Girls Club. The swim will take place in the school's indoor pool and the road will be closed to traffic for the bike portion. The run will be around the school track.
7 - 9 year-olds: 50 yd. swim, 2.4 mile bike, .5 mile run
10 - 14 year-olds: 100 yd. swim, 4.8 mile bike, 1 mile run

Directions:
Rome is located approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Atlanta.
From Atlanta, take I-75 North to Exit 290. Turn left onto Georgia Route 20.
After 3 miles you will come to a three-way traffic light. Turn left then take an immediate right onto US 41 north. Proceed 3 miles and then exit onto US 411 and travel about 25 miles to Rome.
On the outskirts of Rome, follow signs to Cedartown (not Rome), bearing left on Highways 27 and 411. Take the Darlington Drive exit. Turn left at the dead end, go 200 feet, and then turn right onto Darlington Drive.
