2013 Splash n Dash
The Splash N Dash is a unique race for individuals and teams designed for the fit and almost fit. The race combines swimming, cycling, boating and running throughout the historic city of Prineville. Approximately 35 teams and 170 competitors in 2012 and more are expected this in 2013. This year we are again offering a Triathlon race along with the traditional Splash n Dash race.
There are 42 starting slots for this years race. Starting order will be assigned as registrations are received. First WAVE STARTS AT 8AM.
Register via mail or Drop off Reg. forms at the Chamber of Commerce, or the day of event at the registration table at the Prineville Swimming Pool from 7:30-9:30am(first leg of the race).

Course Information:
SWIMMING LEG (500 Yards) The race begins at the Prineville Swimming Pool, located at the Ochoco Creek Park, N. Gar-ner and E 4th Streets. This leg consists of 10 laps of the pool or a maximum of 15 minutes in the pool. If the swimmer exits before completing all laps, or they cannot complete all laps, they will be assessed 15 minutes, plus 2 minutes for each lap not completed.
BICYCLE LEG (11Miles) Under the Age of 18 MUST WEAR HELMET!!! The bicycle leg begins at the west end of the Prineville Swimming Pool. Turn LEFT on NE Fair-view Street (immediately out of pool area). Follow NE Fairview Street to Lynn Blvd. RIGHT on Lynn Blvd. to S. Main. LEFT on S. Main. Continue on S. Main for approxi-mately 5.4 miles (pass Quail Valley Ranch, turn around point is app. 1 mile beyond Quail Valley Ranch). Turn around and return to south entrance of the Crooked River Park (covered picnic area) to the exchange point along the Crooked River. The Triathlon is 1.5 miles longer to Running leg. Con-tinue on Main, LEFT on 2nd St, LEFT on Meadow lake Dr, Right into exchange zone at Library.
BOATER LEG (1.75 Miles) MUST WEAR LIFE JACKET! You supply the boat. The boating leg begins just south of the Crooked River Park and softball field. The boater will proceed down the Crooked River to the library park, which is south of the bridge spanning the Crooked River on Highway 26. Do not pass under the bridge! The exit point will be clearly marked THIS LEG IS NOT IN TRIATHLON RACE!
RUNNING LEG (4 Miles) Runner will begin at the boat take out and proceed through the library park. Turn LEFT on SW Meadow Lakes Dr. to W. 2nd Street. Turn RIGHT on W. 2nd St. to Main St. Turn RIGHT on Main St. (south). Fol-low Main St. south to Lynn Blvd. Turn LEFT on Lynn Blvd (east) to S. Fairground Rd. Turn RIGHT on S. Fairground Rd to Combs Flat. LEFT on Combs Flat to Lynn Blvd, LEFT on Lynn Blvd to Knowledge. RIGHT on Knowl-edge. Cross 3rd St. (Hwy 26) to bicycle path. Follow the bicycle path past the tennis courts and cross Juniper St. Continue along the bicycle path on the north side of Ochoco Creek to the Ochoco Creek Park Bridge (red arch bridge). Turn left on the Ochoco Creek Park Bridge into the park and the FINISH LINE. Finish may be changed depending on PV celebration location.
