A small swim in the Yough, a challenging bike through the city, and a fairly flat run on the Great Allegheny Passage. Great race for both beginners and intermediate.
Music, food, and activities for all following the event.
Wednesday, July 10th is the Annual John Woodruff 5K race. It starts and ends at Falcon Stadium where a tree that was given by Hitler to Johnny during the war was brought back to Connellsville, planted, and still stands today. The 5K also covers the bike portion of the Triathon so it is a great pre-race.
An Italian church festival that attracks people from all over takes place Thursday through Saturday.
Plenty of activities, historical and well known sites to visit, and natural beauty to be seen in the city. Plan a 5 day trip out of this and you will not be disappointed.
