The Pigman Long Course Triathlon is one of the premier multi-sport events in the United States. Whether you're a competitive triathlete, a newcomer to the sport, or part of a team, it's a race you won't want to miss. Race distances include a 1.2M Swim, 56M Bike, and a 13.1M Run.
Swim: Wave starts begin at 7:30 a.m. sharp. The 1.2 mile course is will be a triangular shaped swim from Pleasant Creek State Park swimming beach.
Bike: Our challenging 56 mile bike course will take you through Iowa's scenic countryside.
Run: The 13.1 mile run is an out and back course on a country road with small rolling hills.
Note: The Olympic course will use the same course as the Long Course but will turn around at designated half-way points.
Pleasant Creek State Park is located 12 miles northwest of Cedar Rapids in eastern Iowa. To reach the park: From I-380 take exit #24 (Blairs Ferry Road) and head west to Palo (approximately six miles), turn north on County road W36 and follow signs. Closest airport to the park is the Eastern Iowa Airport. It is located about 30 minutes from the race site.
