Whether you're a cutthroat competitor or a weekend-warrior, mud runs are draw competitors of all skill levels at similar events across the country, the Black Hills Mud Run is the areas first major entry into this fast-growing mishmash of sports, entertainment, public service.
The 3.5 mile course will take place at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip and will include individual and team entries in both competitive and noncompetitive categories.
Racers will battle nearly a dozen obstacles that require climbing, crawling, mud swimming and more.
Competitive racers will be individually timed, but all racers are encouraged to register with friends and enter into a variety of contests, including best costume, best theme, and more.
Race registration includes a complimentary beverage, event medal and goody bag. Race waves start at 9 a.m. The finish line and post-race party will offer music, food and beer for racers over 21.
