Ultra Trail Run in the heart of Vermont. For the 2013 Peak Races Ultra there are 30/50/100/200/500 mile option. 500 mile race starts Thursday, May 23rd at 4:00 p.m. The 200 starts Thursday, May 30th at 4:00 p.m. The 50/100 will start Saturday, June 1st at 6:00 a.m. with the 30 mile starting at 7:00 a.m. that same day. The course closes on Sunday, June 2nd at 4:00 p.m. for all distances. No exceptions.
The 50 milers will do the first 40 miles on the east side of Route 100 and then complete their last ten miles on the west side. The 50 mile course is very scenic but also very demanding. The longer races will all do a rugged 10 mile loop in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Runners will repeat the loops 10, 15, 20, or 50 times. Each loop has 2400 vertical therefore the 30 miler will feature 7,200 elevation change, the 50 miler will feature 12,000 elevation change, 100 miler will feature 24,000 elevation change, 200 miler will feature 48,000 elevatation change, and 500 miler will feature 120,000 elevation change.
