Get your heart pumping and support a good cause by running or walking in the Lub Dub, a 5K/10K Run and Walk. The sixth annual Lub Dub, named after the sound of a healthy heartbeat, will be held on Saturday, April 27. The event benefits the Camye Callis Gaspard Memorial Heart Fund, which helps finance improvements in cardiovascular treatment at Bothwell Regional Health Center. This year were raising funds for an Xper Swing attachment that enables 3D views in artery studies done in our Cardiac Cath Lab.
Both race courses begin and end just south of the hospital located at 14th and Ingram in Sedalia. The race begins at 8 a.m., with award announcements at 9:30 a.m. The cost to participate is $20 for registrations received by April 17. The cost after April 17 is $25. All participants who pre-register receive a Lub Dub t-shirt and swag bag. The event also includes a Kiddie Run, beginning at 9 a.m., for children ages 9 and under.
