The sisters of Kappa Alpha Theta would like to announce the return of the Theta 5KAO Fun Run which will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013!
100% of the proceeds from this event will benefit both our local CASA chapter, Children In Placement Inc., and the Kappa Alpha Theta Friendship Fund.
CASAChildren In Placement Inc., is our sororitys national philanthropy. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is dedicated to advocating in court for the best interest of abused and neglected children until each is plac...ed into a safe, nurturing, and permanent home. Their site in New Haven provides a safe, neutral site for visits between a parent and child who are struggling with divorce or family conflict.
The Friendship Fundprovides gifts to Thetas experiencing extreme financial hardship due to serious or terminal illness, job loss, natural disaster, and other devastating occurrences.
If you are interested in running or walking, the registration fee is:
$50 for a team of 6
$75 for a team of 10
$10 for individual participants
*Registration fees will increase by $5 on the day of the event, so be sure to register early!*
Registration will begin at 9:30am on Fairfield Way, across from the Husky Statue. The Fun Run will start promptly at 10:00am. Walk or Run the old fashioned way, or add some fun by bringing your roller blades, scooters, or skateboards! Even dogs are welcome!

Course Information:
The course will begin and end at the Husky Statue, located in front of Gampel Pavilion, across from the Student Union. The race route will go through UConn's campus.
