The Wang Y will be hosting its first indoor triathlon to raise funds for our Annual Reach Out Campaign.
The sprint tri will consist of a .47 mile swim, 12 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run.
The swim will be 36 lengths of our 25 yard pool equaling .47 miles.
The bike will be 12 miles on our spin bikes.
The run will be 3.1 miles on our treadmills.
The Wang YMCA is accessible by public transportation.
Orange Line: New England Medical Center stop
If you are coming from North Station, you will exit the train to the left. If you are coming from Back Bay Station, you will exit the train to the right. Go up the stairs to leave the station. As you exit the T station by the stairs at the top, you will be at the corner of Oak Street West and Tremont Street. Take I-93 South to the Mass Pike/South Station Exit 20A-B.
Take Exit 20A South Station; this will put you on the Surface Road.
Follow the Surface Road (it bears slightly left) through one set of lights.
Take a right at the second traffic light on to Kneeland Street.
Take a left at the 3rd traffic light, on to Washington St.
Take a right at the next intersection on to Oak St. West.
The YMCA entrance will be on your right.
Take I-93 North to Exit 20, follow the signs for South Station/Chinatown.
Take a left at the bottom of the exit, Kneeland St. Take a left onto Washington Street.
Take your next right on Oak Street West and the YMCA will be on your right.
Take the MA Turnpike 90 East.
Take Exit 22 at Prudential/Copley Square.
Go to the Copley Square exit and proceed straight onto Stuart Street.
Continue straight through several sets of lights and Stuart Street will become Kneeland Street.
After crossing over Tremont Street, get into the right lane and at the next set of lights, take a right onto Washington Street and proceed to the next intersection.
Take a right at this traffic light onto Oak Street West.
