With 12 strenuous obstacles, the Celery Fields Challenge tests the soul and physical ability of participants from weekend athletes to everyday adventure seekers.
Registrants looking for the best one day challenge on the East Coast are invited to experience a Technical-grade obstacle challenge on the rugged trails of the Celery Fields Sarasota.
This Technically challenging inspired course was crafted by a local Sarasota fitness instructor to offer fitness enthusiasts of any level a challenge in there own home town.
Distance 3.37 miles. This is not a road race. It isnt about the distance, its about challenging yourself.
Time limit There is no time limit for you to finish the course, but the average participant will likely finish in an 45 minutes to one hour.
Obstacles There will be at least 12 obstacles for you to conquer. More will be added day of the race so we can keep you guessing and challenge you even further.
Participants will begin in traditional wave starts. The wave starts will be segmented into hour blocks, which participants can choose at registration. The first wave block starts at 7:30 a.m. and the final wave block will be at 10:30.
When to Arrive on Race Day
We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before your wave time. Remember that you will have to park, pick up your packet, attach your bib and chip and make your way to the starting line.
Parking:
?Parking will be available at Akerman Park and also behind the staging area as shown on map. You can access the parking behind the staging area from center road. Park parking is also available.
The awards ceremony will take place one hour after the last wave of the day recognizing the day's:
Top 3 overall male and female participants.
Top 3 males and females in each age division.
Everyone will receive a custom Pound the Ground medal upon completion.
Top Gym Trophy will also be awarded. Make sure to add your gym affiliation on your registration.
