The Olympic Triathlon has a 1.5 K Swim, 40K Bike and a 10K Run. The Sprint Triathlon has a 14 mile Swim, 10 mile Bike and a 5K Run.
There were about 625 participants last year and we are planning for 650 this year. All participants will also receive a technical shirt for coming!! There is a purse prize for the top 5 Male and Female finishers in the Olympic Race. Please see Frequently Asked Questions for more information.
The swim course is done by waves in 3 minutes intervals, first the Olympic triathletes, and then Sprint. There will be a break between the Olympic and the sprint waves to allow all Olympic athletes to get onto the 2nd lap before we start the sprint athletes.
The bike portion is an out and back on a mix of residential and city area roads.
The run is also an out and back that is fairly level terrain mostly on beautiful trails along the river. Everyone will be chip timed, using Championchip timing by Final Time, Inc., with split times also recorded.
Take Hwy 52 South to the 41st/37th Street Exit, drive on the access road to 37th Street and take a right. The IBM parking area will be on your left side.
