After many successful years of our Thanksgiving Day Thanks 4 Giving Road Race held pre-pandemic, we\'re excited to announce we are back to a live event - our inaugural Healing Steps 5K/10K Race/Walk. The event will be held on June 2, 2024, at LASA Foundation, 40 Old Ferry Road, Lowell, MA. (Site of the prior Thanks 4 Giving Races.)

Come join us to help victims of domestic violence! Lace up your shoes and be a part of this awesome event where we run, walk, and raise funds and build awareness together. It\'s all about taking **steps** towards healing and creating a better future for those in need. Let\'s come together, get moving, and make a difference. See you at the event!

Course Information:

The race starts and finishes at LASA (Love All Serve All) Foundation, 40 Old Ferry Road, Lowell MA. From LASA, turn right on Old Ferry Road to Varnum Ave, right on Varnum Ave to Pawtucket Boulevard (halfway point & water station), right on Pawtucket Boulevard going back to Old Ferry Road, right on Old Ferry Road to LASA. That is the 5K race. Double the loop for the 10K road race.

Directions:

Free, extremely fashionable race T-shirts for the first 200 registrants! Participants who register after the first 200 have an option to purchase a T-Shirt. Packet pickup available starting at 7:00am on race day at the race start location, LASA Foundation, 40 Old Ferry Road, Lowell MA. For virtual runners, T-Shirts will be mailed to the address used for registration. Volunteers will direct you to available parking at Cross River Center, 1001 Pawtucket Blvd, Lowell MA. Bathrooms will be available in building with additional portable facilities in the race staging area.

ABOUT ALTERNATIVE HOUSE For over forty years, Alternative House (www.alternative-house.org) has been a cornerstone in providing comprehensive domestic violence services in the Greater Lowell area. Since our establishment in 1978, we have served thousands of survivors of domestic violence. Our array of services includes emergency shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, temporary safe housing, transitional/permanent housing, legal advocacy, supervised visitation services, community/housing advocacy, support groups, youth and teen programming, as well as daily access to case management, safety planning, and support around goal setting, financial empowerment, and job/educational placement.
