_ The 2024 Red and Blue 5K:
The Troutman Police Department and Troutman Fire & Rescue, in partnership with Troutman Parks & Recreation, will again host the 3rd Annual Red and Blue 5K on Saturday, May 18th at 6pm. This race's start and finish line is at the Downtown Depot in Troutman- 137 S. Main St. This 5K is open to runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels. Each participant will receive a shirt and finisher's medal. $30 entry fee. Guaranteed t-shirt deadline is May 1st.
Proceeds from the race are divided between the charities of the Police Department and Fire & Rescue's choosing. The Police Department will donate half of the proceeds to the First Responders Children's Foundation, which provides financial support to the families of first responders who have given their lives in the line of duty. Troutman Fire & Rescue will donate the other half of the proceeds to the Firefighters' Burned Children's Fund, which supports burn survivors.
Early Packet pickup: Friday, 5/17 from 12pm-7pm at Troutman Parks & Rec, 334 North Ave, Troutman.
Race day registration and packet pick up: 5/18 starting at 4:30pm
