_ The 2024 Down The Tracks 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run:

Event Information: Mark your calendars! This Memorial Day Weekend on May 25th, 2024, as we host our first annual 5k in the Courthouse Square in Historic Downtown Opelika. The race director and management team have deep ties in collegiate athletics, running and the veteran community. A former collegiate cross-country runner and United States Air Force Veteran are set to host the event. A portion of the proceeds for this event will go to Flags for Vets Inc., and the Auburn and Opelika Police & Fire Departments. All participants who register online by April 30th will receive a souvenir t-shirt!

Location: The race will start in front of the Courthouse on 9th street with an 8:00 AM start for the 1-Mile followed by the 5K at 8:30AM.

Pre-Registration Fees: The cost is $25 for the 5K and $15 for the 1-mile fun run which includes a t-shirt.  ** Deadline to register to be guaranteed a t-shirt is April 30th **

Race Day Registration Fees: 5K ($35), 1-Mile ($25)
Early Packet Pickup: Friday, May 24th at Workout Anytime Opelika (501 2nd Ave) noon until 6PM.
Race Day Packet Pickup and Registration: 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM at Opelika Courthouse Square (215 S 9th Street) ** See Workout Anytime Tent **

8:30 5K Start

5K Award Categories*
1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall Male and Female along with top (first) Male and Female in the following age groups:
14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+

Masters Division (50+): Top Overall Male & Female will receive a $50 gift card to Dink & Volley Pickleball

* All awards must be picked up at the event.  Final official results will be posted with 48 hours race completion at www.auburnrunning.org/results.html
