_ The 2024 Memorial 5K:
Join the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores to honor our nation and remember the service and sacrifice of those who have died in the line of duty. Participate in the 2nd Annual Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
Our area veterans and active-duty service members will conduct a brief ceremony of remembrance followed by the running of our unique 5K race.
The racecourse, through the Lake Barrington Shores community, has been certified by U.S. Track and Field and will be professionally chip timed. Participants will receive a race tech shirt and beautiful finishers medal as part of their registration. Proceeds from your race registration will benefit the charitable efforts of the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores and our 2023 race charity, American Gold Star Mothers, Inc.
Start Time: 8:00 AM. A Ceremony of Remembrance will proceed the Memorial 5K Race Start.
