_ The 2024 Sharon Sprint Triathlon:
We promote our event as a challenging course yet NEWBIE friendly!! Limited entry ( 100 participants ). A long runnig tri that has many returning particpants each year. We love team entries!
Course Information:
We run the race out of the Sharon Town Beach. The half mile swim is on a 'triangular course on Mudge Pond.
The 12.1 bike goes north on Mudge Pond Rd., turning right on Rt.112 to the Hotchkiss School, turning right on Rt.41, going south in to the town of Sharon. At the town green there is a right turn going a short distance to the firehouse, turning right on New St, RT. 361, back to Mudge Pond rd. and the beach.
The 4.1 mile run goes north on Mudge Pond Rd. to a right on Long Pond Rd., straight on to Valley View Rd., right on Mudge Town Rd. and a left back to the beach and finish.
Directions:
The facility offers a changing pavilion, picnic tables, a playground, and a sand beach which is raked daily during the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day).
