The North Shore Triathlon, Haleiwa Triathlon, and Kualaka'i Triathlon will not be happening as planned in 2024. The Turtle Bay Triathlon is looking good again for this November. Read further for more details.

First, I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the support at our events in 2023. Manu and I held four successful triathlons last year and we couldn't have done it without the community support from volunteers and participants.

Over the last year I have been working towards joining the Hawaii Army National Guard. I have a few reasons for joining, but the primary reason I chose the Hawaii National Guard is because it will allow me to serve here in Hawaii. Hawaii is home and a day does not go by that I am not grateful for the life I have here.

It has taken most of last year to get my Army contract sorted out and my departure date was unknown until this week. 2024 will be a bumpy year for our events. I am quickly finding out how little influence I have on timing and scheduling. My life will operate on the Army's schedule for the next 12 months. I leave in February and my schedule will be a little uncertain throughout this year. It looks like we can count on Turtle Bay happening over thanksgiving again in 2024. The other events, I'll have to plug in when I get better information on my schedule. For this year, the North Shore Triathlon, the Haleiwa Triathlon, and the Kualaka'i Triathlon will not be happening during their regularly scheduled dates. There is a good chance we can plug these in a little later this year, stay tuned. They just re-paved all of Mokuleia - FINALLY! - it would be a shame to not make the most of that at some point this year.

I am asking our community to keep training and stay active with the other events on Oahu! 2025 will be a great year for our events and I can't wait to bring them back to their historical dates. In the meantime there are other triathlon options, plenty of running and cycling races, and make sure to get into the North Shore Swim Series to keep you active until we're back.

I'll be around for the rest of January, please feel free to reach out with any feedback on any of this. Manu and I love what we do and are grateful for this community! We are looking forward to doing it for many more years ahead.

The North Shore Triathlon takes place on the west end of the North Shore at Mokuleia Beach Park The swim will be a 400 meter course inside of the reef at the west end of  Mokuleia Beach Park near the sandy point. The 12-mile bike course takes place on Farrington Hwy.  The 3 mile run will be out & back going west toward Kaena Point.
