Parking is available for athletes and spectators in Wartburg College lots O, A, L, and F (https://www.wartburg.edu/parking). 

Locker rooms (showers/restrooms) will be available before and after the event. Please check in at The W Welcome Desk for directions.

The W is closed to spectators from 6:30 to 8:50 a.m. At 8:50 a.m., spectators will be allowed in The W to view the swim from the windows in the Zesty Orange on the upper level. Parents/guardians of athletes 17 and under are allowed to accompany their athlete in The W but not in the natatorium.

Schedule of Events

Friday, May 3

4-7 p.m. – packet pickup at Bremer Brewing Company, 102 W. Bremer Ave. Waverly 

Saturday, May 4

6:30-8:30 a.m. – Transition area and body marking open

6:30-8:30 a.m. – Packet pickup at The W

8-8:45 a.m. – Swim warm-up

8:45 a.m. – Transition closes

8:50 a.m. – Pre-race meeting/swim line-up (The W field house)

9 a.m. – Race begins

10 a.m. – Post race food and beverage, Walston-Hoover Stadium

11:15 a.m. (approximately) – Award ceremony begins in Walston-Hoover Stadium

1 p.m. – Transition area and race course closes

Timing

Please follow these simple instructions carefully to ensure you are timed properly:

Chips will be distributed at check-in on the morning of the event.

Timing chips are non-transferable! Be careful not to switch your timing chip with other participants.

The timing chip must be worn on your ankle at all times or you will not be scored in the event. If you wear it on your wrist, on your bike, in your pocket, etc., you will not be scored.

Team participants only are allowed to pass their timing chips in transition.

Your timing chip will be removed by volunteers once you have crossed the finish line. Be sure your chip is turned in at that time or before you leave the race. Failure to return a chip will result in a $30 replacement fee charge.

USAT Rules

Bike Helmets
All participants must wear an ANSI-certified bike helmet or a helmet otherwise approved by USAT-competitive rules.

Bike Handlebar Ends
Handlebar ends must be solidly plugged in before a bike will be allowed to exit the transition area.

Ear Buds/Headphones
Per USAT rules, ear buds and headphones are NOT ALLOWED on the course during the race
