_ The 2024 Tri for Fun Triathlon:

Held at Rancho Seco Park in Herald, California, the TRI for REAL Series triathlons, aquabikes and relay teams are USAT sanctioned. A valid USAT membership number or one-day racing license is required for those events. We have a super sprint triathlon with a 200 yard swim/4 mile bike/1 mile run, the perfect distances for beginners or younger triathletes.

Back this year: TRI for Real Series Champions in each 5-year age-group! Race in all three TRI for Real Triathlons  to be eligible for Series Champion Awards & Apparel.

Included for each athlete is a swim cap, post-race refreshments and a commemorative TRI for REAL finisher piece.

Entry into Rancho Seco Park will be closed from 7:30 am to 8:00 am due to TRI for KIDS event bike course closure. Vehicles can park and walk in approximately two miles or wait until the road opens at 8 am. Please note that the parking fee at Rancho Seco Park is $12 per car. Exact change is preferred.

Relay Teams

Relay Teams are available for the TRI for FUN Triathlon and DU for FUN Duathlon events. Awards will be presented to the top three teams in three divisions: Coed, Female, Male.

Packet Pick Up Information

Race packets will be available race morning from 6:30 am to 8:30 am at the race site. There is a $12 park entrance fee per vehicle.

Race for FREE Information

Our Race for FREE Athlete Volunteer Program offers a chance to get involved with multi-sport events, have fun, and earn a $40 TBF Racing Volunteer voucher good towards entry fees at any of our events this year. Each volunteer shift is 4 hours. We ask volunteers to reserve a volunteer position at any of our events by emailing Volunteer Director [email protected] as our volunteer positions will fill up quickly.

Refund and Transfer Information

TBF Racing has a No Refund policy on all of our events. A Refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Race transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held Rain or Shine.
