_ The 2024 SOCAL River Marathon - 26.2 - 13.1 - 10K - 5K:
This is a fun and beautiful course that can also be thought of as a self-tour of Southern California from the desert to Orange County passing close to Disneyland and the Anaheim Stadium. The race finishes at Huntington Beach State Park. The full marathon starts at Yorba Linda, while the half marathon starts in Anaheim. What could be prettier than the warm, sunny, and palm-tree-lined streets there?
In terms of the course, there will be aid stations throughout that will provide cups of water or Powerade, Bandaids, muscle rub, and body lube. There are also select aid stations that will provide whole bananas, whole Cutie oranges, and GU gels. Unfortunately, the participants have to peel the bananas and oranges themselves due to a California health code.
